Gold Country Mini-Retreat

Since 2010 we've held annual Gold Country mini-retreats in beautiful Auburn, CA, nestled in the Sierra foothills. Like our other mini-retreats, this is a one-day event that combines discussion of a book (usually nonfiction) with a screening of a related film. There is a small charge, and lunch is provided.
The next Gold Country Mini-Retreat will be in Spring 2027.
In recent years, the Gold Country Mini-Retreat has featured discussions of Operation Mincemeat by Ben MacIntyre, The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann; The Brothers by Steven Kinzer; and Seven Years in Tibet by Heinrich Harrer; along with film adaptations or related films.
